Chris Brunell is a UX designer and consultant specializing in sports analytics, live streaming, and broadcast data storytelling.
Over the past decade, he’s designed products and experiences for the NHL, NBA, and FanDuel, partnering with Apple and live sports production teams to push the boundaries of real-time data and fan engagement.
Chris’s career spans agency, enterprise, and Big Tech environments—including at Prime Video—giving him a unique perspective across the sports technology ecosystem.
Before focusing on sports, Chris’s early career was in Graphic Design. As an Art Director, he created award-winning annual reports for Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, later exploring UX, analytics and information design at Comscore—a path that ultimately led to his passion for sports data.
His work for the NHL Coaching Insights iPad App was recognized by Apple CEO Tim Cook as a “game-changer,” earning honors from Fast Company, Clio Sports, and the SAP Innovation Awards.
Based in the Washington, DC area, Chris is a graduate of the Corcoran College of Art + Design. Outside of work, he roots for Notre Dame football, and spends downtime exploring AI filmmaking, music production, and traveling with his family.
